Margaret River, BridgeTown - 28th Nov

Rise and shine in the early morning!

I miss Glenbrook Estate. It has such a homely feel. Towels of different colours, freshly picked flowers in the toilet, guitars and lotsa games in the dining hall. NICE!
~
So we took a walk in the surrounding forest. Decided not to load any pics coz they are all of trees and ermm more trees, and a few stray kangaroos. It was really cold that day!! And all I had was a thin sweater.

A stray flower that Shaun picked for me.

After checking out of Glenbrook estate, and having a hearty breakfast of scrambled egg and ham muffin, we went exploring in Margaret River. And in Margaret River, one is never hungry!
~
First stop: Chocolate Factory

Look at the amount of melted chocolate!!
~

The nicest hot chocolate I've ever had!
~
Next was the Nuts&Cereals Factory.

Sampling bottles and bottles of nuts..

We also bought Triple G (Ginger, Ginseng and Guarana) and Chilli Cola. Triple G is great is u like ginger beer, while chilli cola is just as the name suggests, HOT! But we gotta try right!

Time to sneak in a round of soccer!
~
Cheese Factory!!

See Shaun greedy face?? Heh.

At another cheese factory (or Fonti Factory as they called it).
~
Then we went to Surfer's Bay which is in the vicinity of Cowaramup. Shaun is so tickled by the names of towns which ends with "up". And he tried to time his wearing of the green mario tee which says "1 up" to coincide with days that we are going to towns ending with "up".

Lotsa people surfing. If you see carefully where the waves are the highest, you can see loads of little black heads.
They even have a surfer's code of ethics!

A woman seeking shelter under a frog-shaped rock.

Perfect day for a picnic.
~
And how can one miss visiting a winery when in Margaret River?! So, presenting to you, Voyager's Estate. One of the most luxurious wineries around Margaret River, and you'll see why through the pics...

They have a rose garden!!

After so much tasting, we were very much filled up already. So we headed down to visit one of the caves - Lake Caves.

Picnic by the caves - quite a cool experience - while waiting for the tour to start.

Cheese with peppercorn and biccies.

Then in we go! Lotsa steps!!

Of stalactites and stalagmites.

We managed to quickly sneak a pic of us holding one big piece of the limestone. Really heavy!

The beautiful table and the reflections.

Then coming out of the cave. I'm really outta shape!
On the way to BridgeTown, we saw emus!

Such a vast expanse of fields...

Couldn't resist but take a pic by the roadside, by the setting sun.

Moo-moos!

Finally reached BridgeTown where we stayed at Freemasons Hotel. It's really cheap, but it's really creepy. The floor creaks when you walk on it, the corridor smells of smoke and musky carpet, the toilets are at the far end of the corridor. And don't get me started on the toilet. Let's just say that was the fastest shower I've ever taken!
The restaurant downstairs looks quite posh though.
And they have the largets mussel I've ever seen. The smaller one in Shaun's hand is already bigger than the normal ones at Cicerellos, Kaili's or even Conca's! Imagine the huge one!

The night outside. This pic is taken by Shaun, and the next pic is taken by me! I don't understand how come mine turned out SO much darker even though I took it just after him. Hmmm... Any ideas?
