!@#$%^&*!!!

Poor students like me have to go hungry now. . .

Seems like everything has to be justified. It is impossible to satisfy the vast range of palate and dietary needs of our increasing student population. SIM has been booming in terms of population. Definitely any decent undergrad studying management or related courses will understand that there exist something call sunk cost and variable cost.

With a greater number of students, definitely variable costs like snacks provided would increase, however, sunk costs like turning on the air-con in a single lecture hall setting remains the same be it 100 or 200 students sitting in the hall for the lecture. So the argument of increasing cost does not hold much water from an initial assessment and definitely warrants a more detailed explanation.

Furthermore with the increase in school fees, along with other measures taken previously like the supposed cessation of printing of notes for students as a result of copyright laws, one can only ponder how much cost the school is planning to cut and for whatever purpose.

In place of these kind of measures are half baked supposed improvements to the school such as a mini (maybe super-mini??) gym which will probably benefit less than 1% of the student population, assuming 24,000 students and a gym capacity for maybe 10 people at any point in time? So much for having the welfare of the general student population in consideration.

Damn. . . I hope the least they do is retain the coffee and tea for the breaks. Sheesh. . .
