Shopping at Friendly Centre

Well since Concord Mills was not enough, we went shopping at Friendly Centre last Sunday in the evening. I also want to visit that place since its always mentioned by the locals as a good chill out place.

It was nice David who drove us around once again. This time its primarily because Yan Hao needs a new pair of shoes since his old adidas super star finally gave way after a long period of use. I love adidas super stars! They sure are good durable pairs of shoes.

Anyway we travelled to Friendly Centre on a very cold Sunday late afternoon. Friendly Centre's a really huge place. Its a collection of individual storey-ed buildings with different brands. A few I remembered off hand is the Barnes and Nobles, Macy's, Birkenstocks etc.

The bad thing about friendly centre is that its such a huge place it really makes sense to drive from one shop to another. Espeically in the cold.

The huge carpark right in the middle of the supposed 'centre'

I guess a better word to describe it would be 'area' instead of centre. Because none of the shops are near to one another.

Some random funny sole of a shoe at one of the shoe department shops

Its everywhere...

Another part of the 'centre'. And I haven't even had a chance to go to the cinema area of pubs/restaurants areas yet. I'm sure I will some day.

We decided to ride at the back of the David's lorry once since its only for a short ride from one part of the centre to another. WE REGRETTED IT. My butt froze and solidified due to the cold and the wind.

The more congested part of friendly centre. At least there are a few stores like Gap and Banana Republic and American Eagle together. Phew.

We then went to Walmart for some gorcery shopping and we finally bought our water boiler! Hot drinks everyday from now on! I'm gonna kup some sugar from the Caf. Muwahahaha. Not much photos of it because I'm getting sick of that place. Its just like Carrefour at Suntec, just put level one and level two side by side. Its really hard to find an item. You gotta walk miles to get it.

Yes its legal to do this in America. They do it all the time.

#3 And again...

#4 We finally got it right!

We decided to go eat at China Cafe! Since David is such a big fan of chinese food and since its the eve of Chinese New Year anyway!

The dumpling soup comes in a huge cup. And it was not good at all.

Fortunately my fried rice with Char Siew and vegetables made up for it! Gosh I miss REAL char siew so much...

David's 'large' size serving of sweet sour chicken. Its enough to feed four people. Seriously. So he took the other unfinished half back for lunch tomorrow. Hahaha.

That's it for last week! I'm always about a week behind in posting but I'm working on it!

Happy February!
