Brevard Day 1 130209

I finally finished the dreaded Wil 2 project and my German Mid Term! Been staying up late the past few nights just to get all these things done. I'm really enjoying the work hard play harder culture here. There is just so many things to do.

I'm sorry for the backlog. Haha. This trip was like on the 13th of February??? Oops.

Anyway we gathered at 5pm that day to set of for what was to be a 4 hour drive to the mountains.

Lovely clouds across the school

Some of the 20 people going. We had cars full of people! Because the house in the mountain is free and so is the cost of the cars, all we had to do was to pay for fuel for 3 days and also food. This adds up to $35 per person only! Great weekend getaway on a budget!

Stopping by to get some essentials first

And some VITAL supplies

Sidd our driver with the GPS. That is covered by his roommate Andrew who prefers to use his navigation skills over the machine.

After a long drive we finally reached the house right at the top of a mountain at around 10pm, with rests and stops included.

The house was lovely. It has many rooms and also a basement which is full of fun! We quickly made a mess of it by chucking our things at any available spot.

Ana and a French girl occupying one of the many rooms

Another room...

And another room...

There are also many comfortable chairs for us to relax on and watch tv

Unpacking wherever we want...

Downstairs! The house is very lavishly decorated. Here's a table tennis table with all equipment in place...

Isaac and Rika having a game of checkers. No prizes for guessing who's winning!

The fireplace at the basement. There's one in the main living room above too. We watched movies here till 5am that night. Haha.

Some shots of us mucking around...

The very pleasant family who lends their houses to others. There were many others like us also, judging by their guest books.

The exterior balconies!

Nice place to just chill with a beer and stare at the mountains in a distance

The kitchen! Time to get the popcorns and beers out!

Some of them got high trying to bake cookies...

Eating convenient foods...

Anais the Frenchie rolling cookie mixes with a BEERBOTTLE???

That's it for now!

Time to go to the recreational centre or something. I have not been there for almost 2 weeks already! Be back with Brevard Day 2 soon!!!
